Present Your Startup Haarlem 2021 will kick-off this February 18 with an online Introduction day, where experts, investors, and startups will meet. This weekend, applications for the program closed. And now, we are excited to share with you what we have prepared for this innovative day. If you want to know more about our program overview, keep reading this article.
What can startups expect from the online Introduction day PYS?
Mike Rijkers, Project Leader The Netherlands PYS, and Valerie Vallenduuk, founder of PYS will be the hosts of the event. Mike likes to get a good understanding of the potential and challenges of a business and translating the ideas into accessible, well-communicating, and actionable solutions such as new products or prototypes, financial models, pitch decks, and a social impact report. Valerie was for 15 years a lawyer and likes to work in public-private cooperation to boost entrepreneurship and innovation all over the world, connecting people is her second nature.

David Beckett from startup Best 3 Minutes, winner of Present Your Startup Haarlem 2019 will tell share his story and journey with our program.
Vanessa Peralta from startup Wanika Games, winner of Present Your Startup Bonaire 2020 will share her story and journey with our program.

Jurriaan Duivenvoorden will speak about Creative capital
Marie Weijler will speak about Venture Capital
Hans Janssen will speak about Informal Investing
Tim De Kraker, ex-participant of PYS, will speak about raising funding
After the speaker’s round, there will be online speed dates with investors from our network. Entrepreneurs will be able to meet them, tell their stories, and get feedback. Afterward, we’ll be listening to each of the entrepreneurs pitch their business during the round “Pitch against the clock in 60 seconds”.
What’s next?
After the online Introduction day, we’ll decide the top 10 startups who will be joining us in the next stage of the program, the Academy Present Your Startup, which will be held in March and will help entrepreneurs in different areas like finance, business model, marketing, and pitching. At the end of this online workshop, startups will compete by pitching their businesses in front of a jury panel, who will evaluate them to choose the top 5 to go to the next stage.
